Which languages can I learn?

Linguino ships with hand-crafted scene catalogs for seven languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese (Brazilian), Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and American English.

Learning English? Your teacher speaks simple, clear English the whole way through. Instead of translating, it slows down, rephrases with easier words, and gives you an example or a model answer to copy. Phrase cards show a simpler English meaning, and there is no translation under teacher messages.

Learning something else? Type your language into the "Learning something else?" box on the home page — Korean, Greek, German, Hindi, and dozens more. Linguino generates a full lesson for that language on the spot: concepts, vocabulary, a live conversation scene, and a quiz. Generated lessons work exactly like catalog lessons, including the free live session.

Languages with a different alphabet

For languages that do not use the Latin alphabet — Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Greek, and others — phrase cards show the native script alongside a romanized pronunciation guide, and your teacher’s messages include an automatic English translation with a romanized reading so you can always follow the conversation.
