“I loved it because the food was excellent.”

When to use it: Reviewing a meal, a film or a night out

What you’ll hear back: Ah sì? Allora ci devo andare anch'io. (Oh really? Then I have to go too.)

Disagreeing without a fight

Open with "Mah" and say the thing did not convince you rather than that it was bad: "Mah, sinceramente non mi ha convinto molto."

Mah, sinceramente non mi ha convinto molto.

“Well, honestly, it didn't really win me over.”

When to use it: When you did not enjoy what they loved

What you’ll hear back: Ah no? Come mai? (Oh no? How come?)
