Catching up over coffee in Japanese: stories, opinions, plans
“On the weekend I went shopping, and then I had tea with a friend.”
When: Answering the weekend question

The moment
You run into an acquaintance at a coffee shop in Tokyo. Swap weekend stories, compare opinions about a place you both know, then invite them to something before you leave. They hesitate, so win them over or take a raincheck gracefully.
