You phone a Tokyo izakaya to book a table for two, arrive and give your name, order for the table, send one wrong dish back politely, then agree how to split the bill.

Open every booking the same way: 「今夜7時に二名で予約をお願いしたいんですが。」 If they answer 満席, take the next slot with 「じゃあ、9時でお願いします。」

When to use it: Booking by phone before you go
What you’ll hear back: かしこまりました。お名前をお願いいたします。 kashikomarimashita. o-namae o onegai itashimasu. (Certainly. Your name, please.)
Flagging a mix-up
When a plate is wrong, 「すみません、これ、頼んだものと違うみたいなんですが。」 does the whole job — みたい plus the trailing んですが keeps it friendly while the staff sort it out.

“Excuse me, this doesn't seem to be what I ordered.”
When to use it: The wrong dish arrives at your table
What you’ll hear back: 大変失礼しました。すぐにお取り替えします。 taihen shitsurei shimashita. sugu ni o-torikae shimasu. (I'm terribly sorry. We'll replace it right away.)
