Scenes with two people
Real conversations often have more than one other person in them. On the website, three checkpoints in your French neighborhood, Le 11e, put two people in the scene with you. Your teacher plays both of them, one at a time, and a name above each line shows who is speaking.
Where you meet two people
- Eating out (A2): dinner at Les Deux Cuillères with Hugo, who runs the bistro, and Yanis, the friend at your table.
- Small talk & stories (A2): coffee on a terrace by the Belleville market with Nadia and Inès. Both of them say vous to you.
- Culture & conversation (B1): Nadia’s dinner in your building’s courtyard, with the guest next to you, who says vous, and Nadia, the host, who says tu.
Talk to either of them, and whoever you speak to answers. Each one keeps their own way of speaking. When your teacher steps out of the scene to help you, the label says Teacher.
These checkpoints work like any other: score 70 or more to pass. In the iOS and Android apps, they have one person, as before.
