Spoken review: bring your phrases back

Spoken review brings back phrases you have met, just before you would forget them. A round takes 90 seconds. Open Review in the top navigation, or choose Start on the review card on your home screen when phrases are waiting. Review does not use practice time.

Where the phrases come from

• Lines from your Replays, said the way a local would say them.
• Words you used on your own in conversation.
• Vocabulary from lessons you passed with 60 or more.

Up to 10 new phrases join your review each day. Phrases you have already answered come back when they are due.

How a round works

• Each card shows a clue: something you said in a Replay, or what a word or phrase means.
• Hold the button while you say the answer, or tap to start and tap again to stop. If you cannot talk right now, choose "Type instead".
• Then you see the right line, your score and a Listen button.
• The round ends after 90 seconds or when the phrases run out, and your answers are saved. Choose "Finish now" to stop early.

Linguino plans when each phrase comes back with a spaced-repetition method called FSRS. A phrase you said well comes back later, and one you found hard comes back sooner. Typed answers count too, but a great spoken answer moves a phrase further out.
